Winter Term Adult Lessons
This player is new to tennis or has had limited exposure to the game and may struggle with consistency in rallying and serving. Our goal is to help players build confidence to play socially while learning all the fundamental skills of tennis. Participants will develop a solid foundation that enables them to play the game for years to come.

Players at this level are able to maintain rallies at a moderate pace and consistently hit 10 balls in a row on both forehands and backhands. They can sustain rallies when receiving high, short, or wide balls, provided they are hit at a moderate pace, especially on the forehand side. Players demonstrate full serving motion on both first and second serves, achieving more than 50% success on first serves. The second serve is typically hit with a slower pace for added control.

Players at this level can effectively move their opponent around the court and increase pace when receiving easier balls. They can execute approach shots with reasonable consistency (more than 50%) and are able to return fast or well-placed serves using defensive skills. On easier second serves, players can respond with pace or directional control.
They can handle volleys and overheads that require moderate movement and demonstrate the ability to vary the speed or direction of their first serve. Their second serve can be directed toward an opponent’s weakness without double-faulting frequently.-
