Youth Development Pathway
Red → Orange → Green → Competitive → High Performance
RED BALL TENNIS
(4-7 YEARS)
Every champion starts small, and that's exactly the idea behind Red Ball Tennis! Designed just for our youngest players, this program uses an oversized, low-compression ball and a smaller court to make tennis fun, safe, and easy to learn from the very first swing.
Players will build the foundational skills of the game, including rallying, serving, and net play, while developing the coordination, balance, and movement patterns that set them up for tennis success down the road. Along the way, kids will also learn the basic rules of play and start living out our "I Am a Good Sport" values, things like cheering on teammates, playing fair, and having fun no matter the score.
With a slower-moving ball and a court sized just right for little legs, kids get more rallies, more smiles, and more chances to fall in love with the game.
Swing, run, and rally with us—tennis starts here!
ORANGE BALL TENNIS
(8-11 YEARS)
Orange Ball Tennis is the next step up as young players grow into the full game. Played on a ¾-size court with a low-compression ball, this program bridges the gap between beginner skills and real match play, giving kids the space and pace they need to keep developing.
Players build on their foundation by learning to sustain longer rallies against more challenging shots, serve with greater accuracy and placement, and confidently move forward to attack the net and finish points with well-placed volleys. As their skills sharpen, so does their understanding of the game, players continue to reinforce "I Am a Good Sport" values, learning to compete with confidence, respect their opponents, and enjoy the challenge of increasingly competitive play.
It's where solid fundamentals turn into real tennis instincts
GREEN BALL TENNIS
(12-16 YEARS)
Green Ball Tennis marks the transition to the real thing, a regulation-sized court paired with a low-compression transition ball that helps players adjust smoothly to faster pace and fuller court coverage. Through a carefully structured progression of skill-building activities, players fast-track their development and gain the tools to play complete singles and doubles matches with confidence.
At this level, players sharpen their rallying with better direction and height control, serve with increased power and precision, and learn to handle return of serve under pressure. They'll also round out their game at the net, developing the timing and touch needed for confident volleys and overheads.
As players build this well-rounded skill set, they reach an exciting fork in the road: continuing for the love of the game through our recreational path or stepping onto the competitive path to test their skills in tournament play.
Green Ball is where fundamentals become a real game, and where players start choosing their own tennis journey.
COMPETITIVE STREAM
U12 • U14 • U16 • U18
Our Competitive Stream is built for players ready to take their game to the next level. Using a yellow ball and full-size court, these programs are designed for higher-skilled athletes who are committed to serious training, intense competition, and long-term development in the sport.
Training is structured to sharpen every dimension of a competitive player's game, technical precision, tactical awareness, physical conditioning, and mental toughness, while preparing athletes to compete at the provincial level and beyond. Players are pushed to refine their strokes, elevate their match strategy, and build the resilience needed to perform under pressure.
Across the U12, U14, U16, and U18 age divisions, players progress through a pathway tailored to their stage of development, ensuring each athlete is challenged appropriately as they climb toward provincial and national-level competition.
This is where dedicated players become competitive athletes.
Head Coach Recommendation: Players are encouraged to register for a minimum of two sessions per week. 1.5 hours per session.
